Landslide is the common form of natural disasters in the engineering geological problems, particularly common in the mountains and valleys areas. Many important factories and residential areas build close to landslide, mountain collapse and the debris flow after a heavy rainstorm caused by landslide frequently bring serious damage to the nation-building and people's lives and property. It is necessary to monitor the landslide and achieve the early warning of landslide hazards.In recent years, FBG sensor is the hotspot of research in the field of fiber sense technology, is the powerful competitor in strain and temperature measurement for its many advances better than traditional sensor. FBG stress sensing monitor system employing FBG sensors is applied in the field of landslide monitor, which is one of the innovations in this paper, and has been widely applied in many trades such as petrochemical, electric power, metallurgy, architecture and communication etc.Firstly, this paper analyzed the basic theory of FBG. Using Matlab to analysis the reflective properties, the axial stress properties and temperature characteristics of the fiber grating. The demodulation method of fiber grating is studied. F-P tunable filter demodulation system is choosed by FBG landslide monitoring system.Secondly, the formation and characteristics of landslides is studied. Using ANSYS to analysis the stability of landslide, to determine the insecurity points of landslide. Making these insecurity points as monitoring laid-point of distributed FBG sensors to achieve the monitoring of landslide.Finally, FBG landslide monitoring system is designed. The system can real-time monitoring and recording of the stress change of the insecurity points, predict the deformation of landslide, through experiment of FBG pure bending beam to prove the FBG sensors can be used in Landslide monitoring.
