Pore texture of Reservoir rock is the main factor on the reservoir capacity of reservoir fluids (oil, gas and water) and the exploitation of oil and gas resources, the definition of rock pore texture is the key to add oil and gas productivity and enhance hydrocarbon recovery. The Putaohua reservoir in western Daqing Slope is in general belongs to middle porosity and low permeability reservoir. Because of low permeability reservoir with the difficulty in an effective use in economic, the study on physical properties and pore texture is significant to evaluate and select the geological movable reserves, oil and gas development direction and investment decisions.Based on the data from casting slice,High Pressure Hg Injection and Rate-controlled Hg Penetration it is obvious that Putaohua layers is coarse silt and fine sand, rock type of quality is cuttings of quality feldspathic sandstone and feldspathic lithic sandstone, the main filler is clay mineral and carbonatite. The clay mineral is andreattite and chlorite, and then is illite (authigenic).Rock physical property analysis indicates that the porosity of Putaohua layers in western of Daqing is mainly distributed in the 10~25%, permeability is mainly distributed in the interval 0.1~1.0×10-3μm2.Through the analysis of capillary pressure curves′parameters of the region, the pore structure of Putaohua layers is broken down into four categories, namely ultra-low-hole micro-throat, ultra-low-hole micro-throat, low porosity and fine throat in the fine pore. Putaohua layers generally belong to ultra-low-hole micro- throat. In the above study, combined the oil-water interpretation from logging, well log and oil test, the distribution laws oil-water of Putaohua layers is ditermined, and the relationship between oil and water distribution is summarized.
