Our country is under industrialization now, and much mineral resourse is needed. Southwestern Hunan is an important Au-producer district in Hunan Province. Exploration and exploitation of the deposit is of great importance to the development of the local economy.Based on solid work of field survey and laboratory research on the strata and structure in the area, this thesis described the occurrence, shape, size of different mineralized bodies and its distribution regularities. The chemistry and mineralogy of various types of ores, as well as their spatial variation, are studied and the potential ore reserve is estimated.Based on an integrated analysis of all kinds of geophysical data, this paper deals with such characteristics of geophysical fields in Southwestern Hunan as the gravity field and the magnetic field. The negative gravity has showed spacial distribution regularities of granite body; especially several anomalies are suspected to be that some points of intersect in the south of research area, its geological meaning is enormous, may reflect and construct the intersection or the ore field site. Through interpretating the geophysics materials from geological view, it has confirmed the distribution characteristics of the deep department structural feature of the earth's crust including fracture in the area and the distribution characteristics of magmatic rocks, the ore-finding significance and its genesis are also discussed.On the basis of analysing and mineralizing the space distribution law of the element and relation with stratum times, the geological conditions of different types of mineral deposits are studied, especially, the geological conditions of Au, Sb, Cu, Pb, Zn deposits are studied in detail. It has confirmed that main mineral deposits are controlled by stratum, constructing and magmatic rocks. Three gold potential areas and six nonferrous metal pontential areas as well as the next working suggestion are put forward here.
