Forestry map is one of the main results of forest resources survey, which can reflect the various types of data resources, as well as planning and design contents in the surface material, which is the indispensable basis data of forest resources management and forestry production activities. Division is the basis of forest resources survey and forestry map drawing. According to the problem of long period, poor quality, low accuracy, bad timeliness and low level of re-use for the traditional method of division and mapping, it is far from satisfying the needs of modern forestry production planning. Full use of computer technology, "3S" technology to realize the digital division and mapping can improve efficiency, information-rich content and enhance its timeliness. This paper is based on Southern terrain cadastral mapping software CASS2008, Visual Studio.NET2002 for the development environment, AutoCAD for the development platform, C++ as development language, and using ObjectARX technology, do the integrated development on the division function of digital forestry map. This paper is to explore a new method of digital forest map, to provide an effective way for investigation of forest resources and forest resources management, to provide technical support for country making relevant policies, which has great theoretical and practical significance for China's economic and social harmonious development. The main results of this study are as follows:(1) the establishment of forest division symbol library;(2) the completion of plans for division function of digital forestry map;(3) showing the effect of division functions with part region of Saihanba for the demonstration area.
