Recently, with the wide application of multiple two-dimensional (2-D) composite conducting and dielectric objects, more and more experts and scholars had paid attention to the analysis of electromagnetic scattering, especially in radar target identify, communication technology, remote sensing technology and target stealth and anti-stealth technology. But the difficulty of long computing time and large storage have been met owing to the complex coupling and materials distribution of the conductor and the dielectric body in this kind of problem. Based on integral equation, the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the composite conducting and dielectric objects have been studied systematically in this dissertation. The major contents are as follows:1,The electromagnetic scattering of multiple conducting objects, multiple dielectric objects and composite conducting and dielectric objects have been studied systematically. The principles of the Method of Moments have been introduced. The basic techniques of calculating the bistatic radar cross section have been elaborated, Then the bistatic radar cross section of these objects have been calculated using MoM and the results have been analyzed. The numerical results have shown that the bistatic radar cross section is related with the objects location, objects numbers and the complex coupling of the conductor and the dielectric body.2,The wide-band electromagnetic scattering characteristics of multiple conducting objects, multiple dielectric objects and composite conducting and dielectric objects have been studied systematically. The principles of the asymptotic waveform evaluation (AWE) have been introduced. The basic techniques of calculating the wide-band electromagnetic scattering have been elaborated, Then the wide-band electromagnetic scattering characteristics of two-dimensional composite conducting and dielectric objects have been analyzed with the asymptotic waveform evaluation(AWE) technique in conjunction with the method of moment (MOM). The numerical results obtained by the presented method are in good agreement with that achieved by the traditional Method of Moments, the efficiency of computation is improved considerablely. As a basic research work for electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the composite conducting and dielectric objects, the research work presented in the dissertation provides the effective solution in complex objects, as well as a solid foundation for the further development in this subject.
