The structure of terminal sulfur complex (like ZnS2L, L as the ligand) is original, from its composition we can find that the oxidation state of sulfur is not "-2" as usual, which we've been told since the beginning of studying chemistry, but is "-1". The research about its structure will be a challenge to the traditional oxidation state theory. Meanwhile, because of its good fluorescence property as well as the low toxicity, caused it to have application value in biology.The main contents of the thesis is based on the terminal sulfur complex:First of all, we designed and synthesized tri-pyridine ligands with strong coordination and functionalization ability, their structures were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy and MS. Their optical properties were tested by UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, single-photon fluorescence spectroscopy and two-photon fluorescence spectroscopy, which laid the foundation for the synthesis and application of double terminal sulfur complex.Secondly, we synthesized and characterized the terminal sulfur complexes with the use of solvothermal method and tried to explain the oxidation state of S. Their optical properties and applications in biology were studied. For example, the mode of their interaction with DNA, whether it can be used as DNA structure probe and biological cell imaging.Third, using two sulfurs of the double terminal sulfur complex as the bridges, we designed and synthesized a new class of Ru complexes, its photophysical properties and the mechanism of its interaction with DNA were studieddf.The innovation of this thesis has the following four points:First, the original synthesis method:use the nanocrystals of metal salts (such as ZnS and CdS) as materials to synthesize the complexes.Second, novel complex structure:synthesis of original terminal sulfur complexes.Third, new ideas of the synthesis of Ru complexes:use the above terminal sulfur complexes as a new ligand to synthesize a kind of binuclear Ru complexes. Forth, the interaction of the complex and DNA.
