The 21st century is the ocean's century, the future of humanity lies in Marine development. With the development and utilization of Marine resources, large submarine engineering facilities, the stability of the geological conditions and the stratigraphic structure has become urgent research Marine geology engineering. Geological conditions of submarine is complex, Especially in the shallow water area less than 500 meters. Submarine geology condition is very complicated because of the influence of various factors. The research of submarine geology is more difficult than land geology because of directly observed is cannot. This article chooses the submarine ridge landforms of hainan east coast as the research object. The research areas is 20×20km in 2009.Surficial sediment samples were collected and analyzed over the research areas. The distribution of the submarine sediments were studied by using laser granvlometer. Based on the use of bathymetric instruments and DGPS system, the landforms data were available. The stratum structure were studied by using shallow seismic instrument. The results of studied show that this area surface sediments are mostly for sand. According to the seabed sediment sorting coefficient isoline estimates the submarine advantage flow direction is SSE. Study the interface of activities layer by using these data. The thickness of the activities layer is more than 2m.And the activities layer is stable in the sand ridge's area.
