The applications of micro-seismic monitoring technique in the location of micro-seismic source, fracture orientation and length, waterflood front, the spread area of injection water, the advantages direction of injection water or gas and the water spread area can provide reliable technical basis for a reasonable wells arrangement, the oil field injection patterns, the remaining oil recovery, ultimate oil recovery rate improvement and the oil development programs optimization.In this paper, the basic theory of the micro-seismic monitoring technique was analyzed and the micro-seismic monitoring equipments and technology of waterflood front testing, well-fracturing monitoring technique, signal processing, data acquisition and interpretation methods were elaborated in detail. Combining the test in the peripheral oilfields of Daqing, we analyzed systematically the test results of the micro-seismic monitoring technique in the monitoring fractures from the conventional fracturing wells, deep gas fracturing wells, horizontal fracturing wells and monitoring waterflood fronts of injection wells, CO2 gas drive wells and monitoring the lapsing time of waterflood front.The test results of fractures monitoring in the conventional fracturing wells (Mao 76-57, Pufu 209-791, Shu 972-J21), deep gas wells (5 wells in Xujiaweizi Depression), horizontal wells (two wells in the Oil Plants Eight), turn fracturing wells (La 5-xP1928) and natural crack monitoring in Gu83-62 were very good. And the recognitions obtained were:the depth of fracturing wells, detectors depth and monitoring time affated the test. Compared the micro-seismic test method with the well temperatures test method, the former can give the affacted hight, orientation and length of the fractures. The latter only gives the heights of fractures with larger conductivity.Tests of monitoring waterflood front in waterflood wells (Pu84-602 and Shengyu44-76) and the lapsing time of waterflood front in the block of Mao 733 were proved that the former is able to bring out the fluid-flow distribution and the spread status of water-flood front. Time elapsing monitoring can report the superior direction of water flood and the variations of water-flood front and then the horizontal water-flood producing degree in the block. The result of monitoring the well of Fang188-138 CO2 gas drive front and the geological and dynamic data fit well. Monitoring tests determined the orientation of mainstream CO2 gas and the water injection effect around the well.
