Electric power system is the main component of lifeline engineering system, and its working state relates to whether the social production and people's life could normally go. However, it is vulnerable to earthquakes due to its broad distribution and complex components. Once electric power system is stricken by an earthquake, it will cause huge economic loss and serious secondary disasters, and it will bring enormous difficulties to post-earthquake emergency relief work.Study on the network performance of electric power system under seismic action is an important subject of reducing seismic effection. In this paper, post-earthquake connectivity and seismic reliability of electric power system are studied. The main contents are as follows:First, to lay the theoretical foundation for this research, the basic concepts and indicating methods of graph in Graph Theory are introduced, the basic concepts, classification, the basic algorithm of network connectivity analysis and reliability analysis are introduced.Second, the concepts, constitution and geographical connection of electric power system are introduced and reasonable assumptions are made, based on which a basic model of electric power system network is built, that is a directed graph with vertexes and arcs both having weights.Third, based on the basic model of electric power system network, the connectivity analysis model of electric power system is built and a connectivity analysis algorithm of electric power system is suggested. The calculation program of network connectivity is composed and the network connectivity analysis of electric power systems in northwest Sichuan province is conducted.Finally, based on the basic model and elements reliability analysis of electric power system, the reliability analysis model of electric power system is built. The algorithm of network reliability analysis based on Monte-Carlo method is discussed in detail and a corresponding calculation program is composed. The network reliability analysis of electric power systems in northwest Sichuan province is conducted.The research in this paper provides a theoretical basis for optimizing the grid layout and the grid planning of electric power system. It offers scientific methods for seismic damage prediction and evaluation of electric power system. It is also a great benefit to management and plans of emergencies.
