One of the ultimate purpose of studying dynamics of flexible multibody systems is providing a reliable , effective software for engineers and technicians and giving the dynamics simulation of complicated objects. In order to expand the applied scope of CADAMB and serve for actual project problem, this paper expands the software of CADAMB and studies the dynamics behavior of the driving mechanism of spacecraft .In chapter one, the background and significance of flexible multibody system dynamics are discussed and the current research on flexible multibody system is introduced.The purpose and the contents of this paper are presented.In chapter two, the forward recursive formulation of flexible multibody system is introduced. First of all, the dynamics equation of single flexible body is given by speed variational principles.Then the kinematics recursive relations between objects is given by the motion of the hinge and the hinge effect point.At last, the dynamics equation taking hinge coordinate and modal coordinate of the flexibility body of the systems is given by changing the absolute kinematics amounts into bthe relative kinematics amounts.In chapter three, the software of CADAMB is expanded. The simulation calculation module and model definition module are expanded anf the friction calculation module is increased.Then the flexibility body considering structural damping and friction could be definited, and the forward and inverse problems of dynamics could be resolved.So the applied scope of CADAMB has be expanded and serve for actual project problem, this paper expands the software of CADAMB and the accurate dynamics model of the flexible body could be built. studies the dynamics behavior of the driving mechanism of spacecraft .All of that makes it have a better serve for actual project problem.In chapter four, the dynamics behavior of the driving mechanism of spacecraft is studied by the expanded software. Taking a certain type of a spacecraft as study objects, the dynamic model of the spacecraft with flexible appendages is established by using the forward recursive formulation and the dynamics behavior of the driving mechanism of spacecraft is studied by the expanded software. The disturbance on the driving mechanism of spacecraft affected by the vibrations of flexible appendages and the external excitation is researched..We study that the vibration of different modes gets up the leading role under different conditions by using Fourier analysis.The simulation results of the resistance torque and output torque on the driving mechanism under the disturbance are given,too.This has provided the reference basis to the total design and the control system design of spacecraft , and shown that the expanded software is valid and the perfect function at the same time.In chapter five, the main innovations and contributions of this paper are presented.
