Preliminary Exploration Of Landscape Ecology Methods--Specific Surface Area Method

Landscape pattern research is the main contents of landscape ecology. Among them, the landscape metrics of landscape pattern is an important methods, it is widely used. However, there also exist disadvantages:In its calculation, the landscape patches are considered plat. In fact the landscape and patches are three-dimension, if we use the calculation plane, then it will ignore some features of landscape, so the results may be distorted. Therefore, in order to restore the three-dimensional features of landscape, this paper tries to introduce the method of specific surface area of the landscape, hoping to increase to the landscape pattern of a new method.This Caotan eco-industrial parks in Xi'an as the research object, based in 2008 and 2020 of the relevant data, use the methods of landscape metrics and landscape specific surface area, in the present situation and planning of landscape pattern of the Caotan area were analyzed. We mainly use the patch area, mean patch area, porosity, density of the four parameters of the landscape metrics method to study. Calculation of landscape specific surface area is mainly determined by the plaque index and property index, and the value of the specific surface area is the multiplication of surface area and the affect of the weight factors. We obtain the following results:(1) Landscape pattern in 2008:the results of the method of landscape metrics as follows. Municipal land it occupied the largest area, and it has the least number of patches, distribution of the most complete, and its pattern in the landscape play an important role in most. The results of the method of specific surface area as follow. The largest specific surface area is the farmland patch; its role in the ecosystem is the most significant. In fact, the Caotan Park belongs to ago-ecosystem, farmland, in which plays an important role.(2) Landscape pattern in 2020:Whether the landscape metrics or specific surface area method, ecological green space in the ecosystem is the role of the largest. However, if the patch type (such as buildings) by the change in specific surface area will result change in value, the importance of each patch will also change. However, calculated using the results of the landscape metrics can not reflect the changes.(3) Compared with the landscape metrics, landscape specific surface area can be more calculated to judge each patch in the ecosystem in the role of strength.
