In the building construction process, settlement observation can assure construction quality and personnel safety which takes on the very fresh and clear characteristics such as high technique contents, complex operation and large drawing workload. In addition to acquire measured data in the field, engineers have to concentrate on the complex drawing all day. They have no time to concentrate on studying the optimization of the architectural scheme. Therefore, architectural designers need urgently a settlement mapping software which can be purchased at low price, learned easily and increased in efficiency.According to these circumstances, this thesis aims at this kind of requirement of the building settlement observation, and making use of Visual C # 2005 and ObjectARX2008 SDK, based the Access database, develops software of results expression module in AutoCAD 2008 environment - Settlement Observation Module 2010.First of all, this text carried on the requirements analysis of the software system in the introduction, which studied the origin, developing condition and outlook of the settlement Observing CAD and illustrated the research background and meanings of this topic. Secondly, this article carried on the detailed analysis to the selection, characteristics and function of the develop tool and it minutely analyzed the basic method of developing the program. Then, this article analyzed settlement contour generation, settlement monitoring curve drawing and three-dimensional display, including the development of monitoring points, interpolation contours, contour tracking, generating of settlement notes and an algorithm of labeling settlement notes. Finally, this paper discussed some key technology of the software realization, given the source codes and showed the structure and process of Settlement Observation Module. This article summarized the research on this topic and proposed direction for the further research.The content of this research to the CAD design of settlement observation is feasible, and furthermore it also can apply to embankment, tunnels, geological disasters and other areas. Since the practicability of this software module, for the corporation and individuals, it has strong reference value and admirable market prospects. In addition, through the research of this topic, writer also hope that it has the meaning of elicitation towards the CAD development of the other same kind patterns of building, achieving to the purpose throwing out a brick to attract a jade.
