Introduction of the author: Long Xia, female,was born in June of 1985, a postgraduate of Chengdu university of technology, supervised by associate Professor Wang Daoyong,Professor Wu Dechao and was grant the Master Degree in June, 2010.The proposed Yalong River Kala Hydropower is located in the valley plot of middle and up river in Yalongjiang in Sichuan province MuLi County. Project area is located at Himalayan - Tethys orogenic system eastern margin of the Songpan - the southern margin of Ganzi orogenic belt core site.Further study of the and the activity of structural features of hydropower project and evaluate of regional structural stability have great significance for the programmed hydropower stations and the large projects.This paper in the massive geological investigation foundation, through the active structure, the fault measured that the year, the radon survey, the union earthquake geology and so on a series of new methods, the new technology, the new method detailed, analyzed the Kara hydroelectric power station project area structure characteristic and the activity thoroughly, and has made the appraisal to its project compatibility, provides the important geology reference for the regulation plan construction .Kara Hydropower located world-renowned Himalayan-Tethys orogenic system (with) the eastern margin of the eastern, located north east fault zone, north to Yunongxi-Bawolong fault zone, west to Litang -Dewu-Zangweng fault zone, east and southeast Jinpingshan-Jenny Creek fault zone consisting of the "Kowloon diamond block," the southwest block good overall, the internal faults are not developed, and has good geological conditions.The fault block boundary break is affects the Kara hydroelectric power station project area structure activity and the project stable important attribute: North the east Xianshui River breaks by many faults is composed, assumes the plumose arrangement, it is the sincere earth's crust reaches the 10km above depth big fault zone, the numerous research indicated that it has the laevo rotatory to walk the slippery movement the tendency, the movement has the issues, succession; North Yulong-Bwolong fault zone is a high angle counter washes away the crack, and the fault zone is discovered that has the Quaternary Period fault; The West Litang– Dewu - Zangweng fault zone breaks has the writing from right to left to sway from side to side the nature, these boundary break pulls near time to have the strong activity.These boundary faults in Kala Hydropower project area have different characters. Many small faults of Xianshuihe fault are arranged in Pinnate and it is deep dissectely about over 10 km into crust. Many research indicate that it trend to left lateral slip,and the movement is many period and inherit. The Yulongxi fault generally is a high angle thrust fault. And we first find the quaternary fault in the fault belt. Litang -Dewu fault is a left slide and twist fault,so did the Ganzi-Litang fault.The largest fault in Kala Hydropower project area is QianBo fault, Which is only a secondary fault of the western boundary fault Kowloon block . QianBo fault is small scale and does not have the significance of on Stratum and structure partition. Within the project area has also developed other small faults, the nature of mostly thrust faults.Geological Survey, faults dating and measurement of radon show that the activities before breaking off for the Middle Pleistocene fault, no new activities since the late PleistoceneKara Hydropower Project area is located intermittently block the overall uplift of the region, far away from the block boundary and differential movement; field in the region found no fault, and no record of strong earthquakes, the seismic hazard mainly confining Construction of the block boundary seismic zone earthquake effects.Use peak acceleration of ground motion, earthquake intensity.
