The existing electric dehydrators on offshore platform have a series of problems such as high power consumption, low processing ability and easy short circuited. In particular, as acidification, pharmaceutical processing, and other frequent workover operations, large number of polymers contained in the crude oil, and made the crude oil emulsified seriously. This emulsion has good conductivity, and difficult electrochemical demulsification, but the dewatering effect of the traditional oil dehydration power supply is so poor, and the electric field is very unstable. So, we urgent need to find new dewatering equipment to improve electric dehydration treatment process, resolve the existing problems and improve the quality of dehydration.The crude oil dehydration power supply with alternating rectangular wave is such the new dewatering equipment. To verify the feasibility and superiority of the crude oil dehydration power supply with alternating rectangular wave at the offshore platform, we do crude oil dehydration experiments with this power supply in the laboratory. The experiments include static and dynamic experiments. The experiments verificated that this power supply has a good adaptability for sea crude oil, moisture content of crude oil after removal is low, save demulsifier. Experiments defined the best dehydration parameters, and improved dehydration process, determined the water knockout structure with level forms electrode. At the same time, we proposed the improve program for the power supply, that is use DSP as the master chip to achieve digital control.In this paper, use TMS320LF2407A as the master chip to improve the control circuit of the power supply. This paper introduces the principle of DSP selection, the internal structure and the basic working principle of TMS320LF2407A; and developed the improvement scheme of control circuit.16-bit Digital Signal Processor TMS320LF2407A is adopted as control kernel. The minimum system of DSP, voltage and current sample conditioning module, and protection module are designed. The minimum system of DSP is the core of all the hardware circuit design. Using universal PWM method means to control output power and output characteristic through controlling IGBT switch on time. The EV of the DSP2407A is used to generate the PWM pulse, and then the PWM pulse is used to trigger the IGBT after drive magnified by special driving module EXB841. The voltage and current of the power supply are also sampled and showed to view the operation status of the power supply real-timely.C language and assembly language are all used in the software part. The design of the software uses modular design mind, and the PWM generation program is the core of the software. This paper completed the PWM generation program of voltage regulation control circuit and inverter control circuit, and recorded the data and waveform by experiments. The power supper controlled by DSP has easy hardware circuit, high performance software, and small volume, low cost.
