In recent years, with the development of economy, the demand of energy is increasingly augmented. As a result, the mining industry rapid expand, which produces endless geological disasters after mining. Particularly in the mountainous area where the geological conditions are very complicated, the geological hazards such as landslide and collapse and so on caused by exploitation of minerals had harmed the local people's life and property and the economic development. Therefore the research on the stability of slope due to the excavation works of underground engineering is very important and necessary.The distortion and glide of slope due to the excavation works of underground engineering is a complex non-linear problem. Based on the landslide of the Hancheng City Power plant which caused by underground mining and the basis of the achievement of predecessors, using limit equilibrium method and special large geotechnical engineering software FLAC3D, combining the example of engineering and the spot investigation material, to work out the glide mechanism as well as the distortion rule of landslide due to underground excavation. The primary research results are as follows:1) Based on the context of the analysis of the mechanism of landslide sliding of predecessors, we point out the mechanism of unstable landslide due to the excavation works of underground engineering, simply analyzed the slide mechanism of landslide in Hangcheng City Power plant.2) Consider mining factors in the process of discussing the limit equilibrium method for calculating the stability of the landslide, and then the stability coefficient of landslide is calculated with the improved limit equilibrium method. Finally, results of the improved algorithm are compared with those of other algorithms. The Practice has proven that the improved limit equilibrium method in the analysis of stability of mining-slope is feasible.3) The stability of landslide due to underground excavation is analysis with FLAC3D program. And then by analysis of the body stress and strain characteristics, characteristics of surface movement, appearance of plastic zone of landslide after underground excavation, fully reflect the impact of underground mining on the slope stability and eventually lead to regional instability in the landslide.4)This paper depends on some analysis theory and research result of predecessors with the rule of mining-slope deformation, and introduces the main factors with important influence on slope stability, including the rock types, rock mass structure, condition and depth of coal mining, geomorphologic morphological characteristics of Landslide and geological structures. Then simply introduces some control measures for preventing slide of mining-slope.
