| There are some common problems in injection mold design with CAD software. The CAD software cannot integrate relevant knowledge about plastic injection mould. In addition, the process of mold design is still heavily dependent on professional mold engineers who have the rich knowledge and experience of mold design. For plastic part structures in different complex degrees, how to gain the reasonable mould design project in short time is the core content about modern mould design technology research. So, researching the mould intelligent design technology has important sense to improve design quality, shorten manufacture time and promote development of mould technology.According to the characteristics of injection mould design, the intelligent design technology, based on Expert System, was put to injection mould design. The relevant expert knowledge and experience of injection mould project design were expressed in the form of production rules. The knowledge library of injection mould project intelligent design was established, and CLIPS(C Language Integrated Production System) knowledge inference machine was used to complete knowledge of automatic reasoning. Consequently the intelligent design of injection mould project was realized.Some key technologies of expert systems such as knowledge base and inference machine were developed. In the other words, the injection mold project design knowledge acquisition, representation and reasoning were studied. The development tool of expert system, CLIPS, was selected as the reasoning platform, the basic structure and simple syntax of CLIPS were introduced, the expert knowledge and experience were expressed in the form of production rules to meet the CLIPS syntax specification, which associated with the injection mold design, the knowledge library of injection mold project design was established, and the reasoning mechanism based on the production rules was focused on. Dynamic embedding techniques and methods for CLIPS to VC++ were Studied. The key technologies include the knowledge inference machine of CLIPS embedded into VC platform, exchange of information between CLIPS and VC, the monitoring of CLIPS reasoning process and the reasoning mechanism. Finally, intelligent design program of injection mold project, based on the platform of Pro/ENGINEER, was developed with VC + + and CLIPS dynamic embedded technology and secondary development technology of Pro/ENGINEER. The validity of design project and development program proposed in the paper was tested by examples. |
