Compared with the previous traditional process, the gear hobbing machine which is controlled by Numerical Control (NC) system has obvious advantages. The improve efficiency is more than ten times. The NC gear hobbing machine controlled by PLC is one of the effective means. By using the PLC high speed pulse output module to control the servo motor, drive the servo motor and at last to achieve the machining process. It is also using HMI as a user manipulation of the object.Taking the gear hobbing controlled by Delta PLC as an example, this article deals with the solving system of triaxial linkage design. The design of the driver circuit , the protect circuit and the writing of the system control procedures are completed by the gear processing technology method research. The NC gear hobbing machine can have a manual or automatic operation and parameter adjustment under the user interface of the Delta dop-B series touch screen. The NC gear hobbing machine use the three servo motor control alone hob shaft, workpiece axis, feeding shaft instead of the electronic gearbox transmission, the thought of three axis linkage was put forward. It can realize the function of back to the origin. Using motor, coupling and ball screw etc hardware in order to reduce machine error. During the machining process, AA hob reduces the error of the processing procedure error. Error compensation control system is introduced to reduce the transmission error between the motor and each axis. The machining precision is ensured. The equipment mechanism is simplified. Through testing, the precision of the small module gear is up to 6-7 magnitude, reached the original setting requirements.
