The high-tech products used in electronic field, microelectronic field, optoelectronic field and so on—photoelectron glass plays an important role in the development of modern science and technology. Based on the blue phosphor powder BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+(BAM) for plasma display panel (PDP), B2O3 and alkaline earth elements (Mg2+,Sr2+,Ba2+) or alkalis elements (Li+, Na+, K+) added aluminoborate transparent fluorescent glass were prepared by solid state reaction. The spectral analyses showed that the ultraviolet and violet/blue region were effectively excited in aluminoborate transparent glass, and the excitation spectra showed a broad band from 300nm to 450 nm, and blue emission band was observed in the emission spectra, which was attributed to characteristic emission 4f 65d→>4f7 (5d→8S7/2) of divalent europium. The luminous performance of phosphor powder could be kept well in aluminoborate glass. The luminous intensity of glass based on the blue phosphor powder BAM was much higher than that of glass based on the oxidate raw materials. Glass matrix decided glass network structure, and it was the key factor of influencing the luminous performance of luminous glass. A red shift of the emission peak occured in order of adding alkaline earth elements (Mg2+,Ba2+,Sr2+). The luminous intensity of the samples was found to be lowered in order of adding alkaline earth elements (Mg2+,Sr2+,Ba2+). A blue shift of the emission peak occured and the luminous intensity of the samples was found to be lowered in order of adding alkalis elements (Li+, Na+, K+).
