Three-dimensional cutting is a process method which prevails generally in the actual cutting.Because of the complexity of three-dimensional cutting,researching on the theory of cutting is imperfect in domestic. And the theory of two-dimensional cutting is limitations in the process of three-dimensional cutting.By mean of research of three-dimensional cutting,the cutting theory of machining can be perfect and extended further.,which can advance the industry of mechanical manufacturing.Based on the three-dimensional cutting, it uses the basic idea of FEM, builds the cutting model,which is introduced into the Deform and analysis the different of the cutting force and chip flow angle between three-dimensional cutting and two-dimensional cutting in the simulation. which may extend the cutting theory from two-dimensional cutting to three-dimensional cutting.In the paper,it chooses the different proportion of main edge and side edge,and researches the the relationship between the cutting force,and chip flow angle with different proportion of cutting length. It shows that when the different proportion of main edge and side edge is changed from 1:1 to 10:1,the main cutting force and chip flow angle both decrease.The chip flow angle is 45,when the proportion of main edge and side edge is 1:1. and the way of the experiment can get the same result of the FEM. so that the FEM can predict the change of the cutting force and Chip flow angle,in the three-dimensional cutting.
