As an important basic chemical raw material, vinylidene chloride is widely used in many fields. It can be used to produce polyvinylidene chloride and many kinds of multipolymer. It is also used for Fibers, resins, food packages, and it is well known as "green" material. With the improvement of living standards and the importance of food safety, people have more requirements on the vinylidene chloride than before.Vinylidene chloride was studied since 1960s in our country. But the tradition manufacturing technique of vinylidene chloride has many problems, such as pollution, high cost, while the vapor phase crack production process is almost no waste emissions. The current research focused on the study of the method to produce polyvinylidene chloride and concrete research contents are listed as follows:Suitable catalyst and support was chosen and the method of preparation of catalyst was established. According to the characteristics of reaction, the process was to be established. Through the experiment, the catalytic properties and the optimum conditions of the reaction was studied. In addition the life of catalyst and catalyst recovery is studied. the method to prolong the life of catslyst is also studied in the experiment.
