With the development of the iron and steel enterprise, the crystallizer must have higher properties and higher lifetime. This paper took pure cupper as a basic material, electroplating Ni-P alloy on its surface, and deeply studied the composition of Ni-P alloy bath and different technological parameters'influence on electroplate velocity, the abilities of the well-disturbed, the composition of coatings, hardness, wear resistance, internal stress, heat conductivity, adhesion, heat treatment performance and crystallization temperature.According to the experimental results, the best matching formula:NiSO4·6H2O (240 g/L),NiCl2·6H2O (45g/L),H3BO3 (35 g/L),H3PO3 (10g/L),pH (1.1), current density (2A/dm2), temperature (70°C), low-speed agitation and 400°C heat-treatment was found and the most suitable coating with excellent functions was gained. And then the coatings' micrograph, hardness, wear resistance and the adhesion were also observed.By changing stirring speed, current density and pH in the electroplating process, the two-dimensional gradient of Ni-P alloy coating was made. This coating has three advantages. Firstly, both the coating's phosphorus content and hardness have gradients in vertical and lateral directions. Secondly, the coating not only has high hardness, but also matches the actual working conditions. Thirdly, this design can greatly improve the coating's abrasion resistance, adhesion and life.The method, characterized by simpleness and low cost, but wide suitability, practicability for application, can be used in industrial production. And many experiments that have been done piled up initial data for future related research.
