| In the traditional high speed machining process expert system, because of the complexity and diversity of the process knowledge, relations that exist among the rules can't be described reasonably. Thus, the reasoning efficiency of the system is low and the resulting semantic information is relatively simple; in addition, the sharing of process knowledge base is also relatively poor. So, the idea of high speed machining process expert system based on Ontology is studied to solve these problems, aimed at defining rule base normatively, improving reasoning efficiency and semantic expression of conclusions, and allowing the knowledge base can be shared.Firstly, the research status of the high speed machining technique and problems that existed in the applications are analyzed. Then, the shortages of traditional high speed machining process expert system in applications are analyzed. In order to solve these problems, a high speed machining expert system framework based on Ontology is given. Besides, the components of this framework and processes of this system are described in detail.Furthermore, the key techniques of the system including high speed machining rule base construction based on Ontology and reasoning algorithm based on Ontology are deeply researched. According to the characteristics of the production rules, rule pattern Ontology and rule action Ontology are created, and then formal rule base based on Ontology is given; Taking into account the diverse linkages among the rules, as well as incompleteness, compatibility and contradictoriness issues existed when rule base is built, a rule base redundancy approach is given to make the rule base simple and comprehensive. Based on the perfect rule base, a high speed machining process expert system reasoning algorithm based on Ontology is designed to improve reasoning efficiency and semantic expression of conclusions. Finally, combined with the application background of the Sino-German International Cooperation Project, the implementation of high speed machining process expert system based on Ontology is presented, which provides an effectual method to solve issues existed in the high speed machining knowledge management and parameter recommendation. |
