Compared with traditional machining methods, electrical discharge machining method don't have macro cutting force, can process materials difficult to process using traditional processing methods and special structure, have advantages traditional processing methods can't match in many areas.SiCp/A1 composites have higher specific strength and specific stiffness, high elastic modulus, good wear resistance, low coefficient of thermal expansion, relatively low cost, low density, good dimensional stability and thermal conductivity and so on. So in aerospace, military, automotive, and electronic instruments this material have great application potential.First, though the sample workpiece of electric spark formation processing, high speed micro-hole EDM and the electrical discharge wire-cutting, workpiece's superficial appearance and the elemental composition and so on are analyzed and compared with the crisp cross section namely primitive material surface to study the material eclipse of this material, providing reference for the following processing research; Second, through a large number of orthogonal experiment and data analysis, impact of the various processing parameters on the processing are analysised, and through changing the form of electrodes, the processing process was improved; three-dimensional EDM milling based on the principle of hierarchical processing was conducted on workpiece of SiCp/Al composite and a convex font of HIT was milled. Based on actual experience this article put forward a sub-milling processing method, then the feasibility of sub-milling method was analyzed and further prospects was put forward. A micro mouse model was machined based on this processing method. |
