| The paper is assisted by the Youth Fund of Hei Longjiang Province. Two aspects, improvement of photo-catalyst and regeneration of activated carbon were involed in the paper. In the study of improvement of photo-catalyst, high-activated photo-catalyst Ag-TiC)2 which was more effective than material Ti02 were made with the photochemical precipitation. In the study of regeneration of activated carbon, the concept of photo-regeneration of activated carbon was put forward first and the mechanism was discussed. The photo-regeneration is the method which utilizes the photo-catalytic oxidation to recover the adsorption of activated carbon which adsorbed one or more organic chemicals. During the process of photo-regeneration the adsorbates experienced the diffusion from inner to the outer part of activated carbon and the process of photo-catalytic oxidation. At the beginning of the photo-regeneration, the photo-catalytic oxidation of adsorbates if the key step limiting photo-regeneration rate, and then the outer diffusion of adsorbates is the key step. To the photo-catalyst diffusion system, the photo-catalytic oxidation was taken place in the regeneration-fluid. To the photo-catalyst adhesion system, the photo-catalytic oxidation was taken place in the near surface including photo-catalyst of adsorbent. The regeneration effect of the latter was better than the former. |
