Wastewater from enterprise, institution, small new residential area, and tour and relaxing place, cannot drainage city pipe system nearly. Therefore those places must build independent and small equipment of treatment waslewater. Like those equipment, there have had full and completed product in overseas. Our country has done little research on these products. Some of products in use apply contact oxidation method. Because of great difference of our countly in water quality and quantity, and defectiveness of this method, its use is limited. SBR process has many of advantages for treatment wastewater from small district of city. But today research is focus on technology of industrial wastewater and large-scale domestic sewage. There is little research on wastewatcr with special character from small district. This project is aimed at problems of using small wastewater equipment. It was comprehensively investigated for domestic sewage by using SBR and its combined process in lab-scale and pilot scale. Its purpose is researching on suitable technology with high efficiency, low consumption, easy operation, and anti-poisons and shock loading. This technology makes domestic sewage from small district for discharging above high standard and resource recovery. The lab scaie results showed that sludge sorption is key cause for separating 4BS from printing and dyeing wastewater. Small treatment equipment of wastewater has some shock non-degradable organic matter loading by the sorption. The pilot scale results verified that: Model of limited aerating is better than unlimited aerating model for low concentration domestic sewage. The major pollution of effluent attains the first grade discharge standard of GB 8978-88 in optimum working conditions (This system was operated on a 6-h cycle. In influent and effluent quantity I .2m3,blasting rate 601/mm, time of blasting 3h, and sludge loading 0.27kg BODdkg.MLSS.d), and the a effluent is transparent and has a good view sense. The effluence attained the second stage effluent quality standard of GB8978-1996 in shock-resisting load model. This system was operated to steady state under conditions of normal and excess phosphorus in setting frontier anoxic time, It can improve removal phosphorus ratio 6.71% in normal phosphorus concentration. Phosphorus removal (Phosphorus concentration of infiuent 2.34-8.77mg/i, effluence 0.58-2.69mg/I) raised when excess phosphors was augmented by man-made. It shows frontier anoxic time was not only improved phosphorus removal, but also has good shock phosphors loading ability. SBR combined process improved CODcr removal and lowered energy consumption, but other pollution removal decreased. It was possible affected by temperature and equipment trouble. Energy consumption of SBR and its combined process was 7.6KwhIkgBOD and 6.2KwMgBOD separately. A little sludge was discharged during experiment period.
