In this paper,Full Strain Design method and Sublaminate Rank method are combined to optimize fibre-enhanced composite laminate. The concept of Sublaminate and the Repeat of sublaminate are introduced in Sublaminate Rank method.Sublaminate is just one part of laminate.Each element has its own Sublaminate.The Repeat of Sublaminate of each element is caculated.It satisfied not only the allowence strengh,allowence strain,but also the minmum of objective function.In this paper,all kinds of sublaminate will be listed if the number of oriention,the value of oriention and the number of ply in sublaminate are given. Finite element method is used to anlysis the structure.Each composite laminate element is made of same or different Sublaminate. Full Strain Design is one of the optimality criterion method,an effective engineering optimization method.Further more,in order to improve this method, Ray Step method is combined with Full Strain Design method to accelerate the iteration convergence.In the final result,Sublaminate,the Repeat of Sublaminate of each element are listed,the sum of Repeat of each element are ranked,and the minimum one is the best solution .The advantage of this method is that once a kind of sublaminate is choosen,the corresponding ply thicknesses are known.The Repeat of sublaminate of each element can be obtained by using optimizer.The ply sequence can be solved by changing sublaminate code .One kind of simple and efficient optimization method for the composite laminated plates is provided in this paper.
