The distribution regulation of welding residual stress in thickness plate is discussed in this paper, and the basic principle of section relaxation is studied. The relationship between stress and strain increment is set up during section process. According to the linear hypothesis, calculation formula of triaxial residual stress distribution along the thickness is established, and numerical fit formula of welding triaxial residual stress cry, az along shaft Y and shaft Z is set up. The numerical fit formula of ox distribution along the Y shaft is given out. it is proved credibility and validity by the test data.The new section release method is designed. First, the emulation scope and section project are set down through testing residual stress on the surface. Second, Asx is got during section process. Third, triaxial residual distribution along the thickness is got according to the stress ox on the side face of slice.Welding plates (thickness 48 and 24mm, material WDL610D) are tested in this paper, the test data of cutting welding plate which is thickness 48mm are consistented with the result in reference paper and the method is proved credibility and accurately.The curve of triaxial residual stress along the thickness is given after cutting welding plate. The o-x is found to reach its maximum value about 5 mm below the surface, which is 0.9 as, the rate between maximum stress and surface stress is 1.349, which shows that surface stress is less than inner stress. Distribution of 07 along the Z shaft is linear. Distribution of az along the Z shaft is tested, which is not larger than 51.89 MPa.The ox, ay on the plate lie in-50 Mpa and -110 Mpa. ox, ay > az, the maximum of az is 50 Mpa. The main direction and stress in welding plate can be Calculated .the stress's main direction is paralleled of welding line. There are angle between Main direction of other part and X shaft shearing stress is exist, specific value between the width of section plate and thickness is at least for 0.375. residual stress's distribution can be measuring with section methodand according to numerical fit formula of welding triaxial residual inner a y, a z can be obtain, both of these is important for engineering and science research .
