The preparation method, biocompatibility and application of heparin microcapsule have been researched in this work. The chitosan and sodium alginate have been used as microcapsule materials. The results showed that the chitosan can enhance the envelope efficiency and slower the release speed of heparin. The envelope efficiency can be improved from 51.05% to 58.87% when appended in chitosan, and if use chitosan only the envelope efficiency can be approached to 79.9%. The hydrophilicity, blood compatibility, biocompatibility have been used to evaluated the capability of composite membranes heparin microcapsule/PLA. The results showed that all the composite membranes possess of good hydrophilic, the blood compatibility and biocompatibility have been improved by heparin microcapsule. From the cell cultivate, at the surface of composite membranes the cells grower well.
