The steel wire rope is the key part as promotion, transportation and bearing the weight in the equipment and is widely applied to a lot of project applications. It is essential to the using security. This research put forward the steel wire rope detection system for broken wires for the actual need of the crane according to the port. This dissertation is based on the analysis and dissertation of the research actuality of the wire rope condition test aboard and broad, and across-the-board researches the magnetoelectric monitor principle, magnetism monitor installation and the character of the wire rope default signal. By the wire rope fatigue experimentation terrace in Port Operation laboratory of Wuhan University of Technology the result of the dissertation is validated, the steel wire rope detection system for broken wires is carried on revising repeatedly, debugging and experiment to move.Firstly, this paper on the basis of Foster's model analyzes the steel wire rope detection system for the disconnected broken wires based on magnetism leak flux. It researches the magnetization method of steel wire rope in details, and measures the surface magnetic field of the steel wire rope through the orientation of Hall's sensor, and has analyzed the superficial leaking magnetic field of the steel wire rope.Secondly, this dissertation uses the wavelet theory to study the signal pretreatment method of broken wires, analyses broken wires characteristic of signal of steel wire rope in details, gives the algorithm of the signal characteristic to broken wires. And the paper has proposed the signal pattern-recognition method of broke wires based on BP neural network. Through the instance, studying and training the signal sample of broken wires for the BP neural network at first, forming good structure network, then utilizing this network to treat and examine the steel wire rope to measure , discerning and diagnosing automatically to the disconnected defect of broken wires of the steel wire rope , reaching to the intellectuality to require.Thirdly, this text has carried on detailed research to the hardware implementation method of the steel wire rope detection system for broken wires .Gathering and dealing with the data with the miscro-controller, passing the measuring procedure of solidification and function to the large memory of the data, the system can measure the steel wire rope online , at the same time show the result of gathering the data on the liquid crystal display of the detection system panel directly. It measures the shortcoming to the dependence of the PC after solving the defect of the steel wire rope at present, Lowering costs at the same time, and it is more convenient to enable measuring online.Finally, utilizing visual software Visual C ++ and mathematics tool software MATLAB to develop the steel wire rope detection system for broken wires, offering one friendly human-computer interaction interface for steel wire rope defect to broken wires.
