The fourth coal seam is the mainly coal seam which take on the mainly quantity of Fangshan shaft in Da'anshan Mine. But now,there is large magnitude of earthquake rockburst to burst out frequently. That is threatening the produce of mine,and the life and poverty of the worker. So the principle of the up-covered rock and the rockburst is studied in this paper in order to forecast and prevent the occurrence of rockburst.Through the simulated experiment,the finite element analysis and the forecast of earthquake station,the principle of up-covered rock is obtained. The point of stimulation is according with the site of Fangshan shaft,and the displacement of up-covered rock will change suddenly before the occurrence of rockburst and the rockburst has time effect. The frequent fracture of the harden up-covered rock is led to the rockburst occurrence of the fourth coal seam in Fangshan shaft. Through analyzing the rockburst material of Fangshan shaft,the earthquake magnitude and the frequency of rockburst has the linear relationship,and this result will forecast the maximum earthquake magnitude of rockburst in the future.
