This article has investigated the status of the blast furnace cooling and the theory of cooling facility destroy and the theory of cooling,and has pointed out that,the most important character with the process of the extend the life of blast furnace is to increase the cooling ability of cooling facility at full steam. With the increase the cooling ability,the life of the blast furnace were belonged .The life of the blast furnace is depend on the destroy status of cooling facility. The key reason of the destroy status of cooling facility is temperature, only make the cooling ability adapt to the heat flow intensity, can avoid the earlier destroy of the cooling facility and extend the life of the blast furnace.Now, the blast furnace cooling is normally designed as "constant supply" model. The volume of cooling water in a cooling facility doesn't adapted appond to the heat flow intensity in that area. The volume of each cooling facility can meet the normal heat flow intensity, but the peak heat flow intensity may make the cooling facility destroy, and shorter the life of the blast furnace.This article aim at problem as front and has bring up that if use the cooling water supply mode that water volume auto adapt to the variety of heat flow intensity,can meet the cooling water need of cooling equipment while under the peak value of heat flow intensity,avoid the destroy of cooling equipment,belong the life of the blast furnace and decrease the cooling water consumption.This article has bring up further that use the self forced adjustive valve act by the difference in temperature,to meet the cooling water need of cooling equipment under variety of heat flow intensity,and compared with the mode that use computer to realize the supervision heat flow intensity and control the cooling water volume,simpleness,high credibility and low invest. This mode is the most economic and most effective method to realize the cooling water auto conditioning and so belong the blast furnace life.The self forced adjustive valve that acting by the difference in temperature and make up of memorial alloy,has the function of the supervision heat flow intensity and control the cooling water volume. Laboratory research has point out that the valve litter in volume, credibility in function and meet the need.The test in Pan Gang No. 3 blast furnace has proved that the usage of self forced adjustive valve which acting by the difference in temperature to realize the coolingwater auto conditioning,the maximum temperature increase of cooling water has limited,make the cooling equipment safe,belong the life of blast furnace and decrease the cooling water consumption.Based in this study, this article has searched and designed the usage of the self forced adjustive valve that acting by the difference in temperature in PanGang No. 1 blast furnace overhaul, With the put into production of No. 1 blast furnace and widely usage of this research,will produce economic benefits and social benefits.
