In this paper, a new type evaporator, inert particle fluidized bed evaporator, which is adapted to tea liquid infusion evaporating. We designed and built an inert particle fluidized bed evaporator. Experimental study and theoretical analysis on the heat transfer and hydrodynamics characteristics of the new evaporator were carried out. Meanwhile, the performance of preventing and cleaning fouls was studied for this new evaporator. The relationship of the heat transfer coefficient with tea liquid concentration, heat transfer different temperature, vapor temperature, liquid flow rate, particle volume percent and different particle were studied. And analyzed the effect of liquid flow rate, particle volume percent on pressure drop. Based on the character of inert particle fluidized bed evaporator, used the theorem, a mathematical model of inert particle fluidized bed evaporator heat transfer was proposed. The investigation results in this aspect are not reported so far.Experimental results show that: Under the same conditions, the heat transfer coefficient of inert particle fluidized bed evaporator is about 1.7 times that of the vapor-liquid flow heat transfer. The evaporator has the abilities of preventing and cleaning fouling. At the same time, It can reduce wall temperature. So the inert particle fluidized bed evaporator is more appropriate for liquid food than two phase evaporator.
