In this paper, PTFE and PTFE composited with SiCp, SiCw, MoS2p and SiCp+ MoS2p with various ratios respectively have been obtained by compression molding.Under the condition of dry friction, a systematic study has been done on the weight loss and the friction coefficient of composites and the relations between the properties and content of the filling, the load and the sliding velocity. The results show that the reinforcement phase plays a wear-resistant role. Under the dry friction, the wear of the composites is caused by the co-effects of various mechanisms such as adhesive wear, micro-plowing and micro-cutting of abrasives on the matrix and separation of the composite phases. The experimental results show that the wear-resistance of the composites decrease with the increase of load and sliding velocity, upgrade with the increase of content and size of filling, and the best wear-resistance was obtained with 20vol% composite phrase. The wear mechanism changes with the change of the wear system parameters, such as the properties, content and shape of the composite phrase, the load and the sliding speed. The wear map was obtained, which shows the relationship between the wear and friction of composites and the wear system parameters including the load, the sliding speed, the content and size of composite phrase. The weight loss of the composites is larger under the synergism of the parameters than the simply superimpose of weight loss under the single parameter. Micro-cutting is the mainly abrasion mechanism under low sliding speed and light-load. Adhesive wear is the main abrasion mechanism of composite in high sliding speed and heavy-load. The adhesive wear is the main abrasion mechanism when the size of filling is minor or the content of filling is low. with the increase of the size or the content of filling, the mainly abrasion mechanism transit from adhesive wear to grinding abrasion.
