A study of complex utilization on a low-grade Ca-bentonite(obtained from chengde,Hebei Province) was done. Na-bentonite, silicic dioxide and activated bleaching-earth were prepared by modification of the raw bentonite directly. Main technical conditions were conducted systematically, and then high-quality deep-processed products were gained. Besides, after simple treatment of the Ca-bentonite, two cheap and effective absorbents was used to remove Cr(VI), Ni2+ in water. In the next expenments, Na-bentonite(from Lin'an, Zhejiang Province) was modified by organic cation and its operating parameters were introduced at length. The sorption properties, mechanisms and optimal conditions of phenol to cationic organobentonite were also discussed. Finally, a series of non-ion organobentonite were synthesized by covering nonionic surfactants on the Na-bentonite for the first time, and organic carbon contents and removal rates of phenol from water were analyzed.
