Due to the development of industrial technology, the application of VVVF motor drive is broadening, more and more people are interested in its striking effect on power-saving and flexible operating mode. But it is too expensive to be popularized. For this reason, it is worthy of research that how to bring down its price at the time of enhancing its capability.To resolve this problem, an Application Specified Integrated Circuit (ASIC) SA4828and Intelligent Power Module (IPM) 7MBP75RA120 are adopted in the design of an low-cost, high-capability Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) Motor Drive for general purpose. This motor drive is controlled by V/F mode; furthermore it has many operating and protecting functions. All these make the motor drive have a high capability and reliable running status. At the same time, it is very convenient to input parameters or change the drive's operating mode due to the advanced human-machine interface. Moreover, owing to the adoption of new integrated parts, it costs less time to develop this motor drive, and then motor drive has a very low cost, simple structure together with an appropriate stable operational capability.In this paper, the drive's hardware and software is analyzed in detail, two main parts: SA4828 and IPM Module 7MBP75RA120, AT89C52 and their applications are introduced too. At the end, this paper analyzes the problem of disturbance, and expounds some methods of anti-disturbance from the aspect of hardware and software.
