Tailing is a kind of solid waste of the mining. Because the characteristic of tailing is large amount, many kinds and complicate quality, the rate of utilization is only 7% in china. Tailing has been a important source of pollution, it makes a large harm for environment. Iron tailing is a mostly kind of tailing. Low-silicon iron tailings have not the fundamental elements and mineral that can be utilized, so they are not utilized mostly. So using tailings, including low-silicon iron tailings to process non-wasted technology to exploit all kinds of construction materials and products, which extends the resources of construction raw materials, protects biological environment and improves mine economical efficiency.On the basis of the study of predecessors, the study places emphasis on the influence of the modeling pressure, the method of conserving and admixtures for the performance of the product. After lots of tests, the best modeling pressure and method of curing are confirmed. Through the analysis of the effect that admixtures made for improving the product and microcosmic structure of the product, TN is selected as the best admixture and its dosage is confirmed.The microcosmic structure of the samples is analyses by SEM and XRT, the change was studied of intensity, microcosmic structure and the component of the hydrate resultant on different conditions. According to the change of chemistry component and microcosmic structure, their relations and physical and chemical reaction in the curing, the law of reaction behavior of the pressing product with low-silicon tailings is discussed preliminarily.This study will guide the utilization of low-silicon tailing recourses and the development of binding material theory. The research establishes the base for solving environmental pollution of low-silicon iron tailings completely and maximizes efficacious utilization of the mining resource. Apparent environmental, social and economical benefits can be gotten.
