Study On The Flow Characteristics Of Jet-Spouted Fluidized Beds (JSFB)

As a kind of modification of Spouted Bed, Jet-Spouted Fluidized Bed(JSFB) is achieved by adding fluid gas, reducing the height of the cylindrical part of Spouted Bed and increasing the spouting velocity. It is mainly used for coating and drying of particle material, granulating of powdery, drying of suspension, solution and paste, heating and cooling of solid material, low temperature charring of coal, etc.In a JSFB, coating solution is spouted on the surface of prawns' bait so as to improve the stable performance in water. The flow characteristics of JSFB is studied when prawns' bait is coated and granulated, such as the relationship between center fountain height(h_f), the pressure drop in annulus region(#p0),the pressure drop in spouting region( #px ),the minimum spouting velocity( ums )and the height of bed layer( hh), the particle diameter( dp), operating pressure(P), theinstalling height (x) of draft tube. The correlation for the minimum spouting velocity( ums) and the calculating formula for the maximum spouting liquid( Um/)are first offered for particle material's coating and granulating in a JSFB, and can be used as reference for industrial application.
