A three-dimensional curvilinear orthogonal mass transportation model is established in this paper. The distribution of the contamination in Jiaozhou Bay is simulated. The measured values coincide well with the simulated ones. The result shows that as to COD and TP, the water quality is up-to the water standard, while to TN, it is not. Seawater has been badly polluted in the North -East of Jiaozhou Bay.The particle track technology is applied to establish the three-dimensional Lagrangian residual current model. By using this model, Jiaozhou Bay Lagrangian residual current is calculated and the water exchange is discussed. Because this model is a three-dimensional one, it is very useful to solve the three-dimensional marine environmental problems, such as the suspended matters, the spilled oils and so on.The environmental capacity of Jiaozhou Bay is calculated. The result shows that the wastewater discharging amount in the north of Jiaozhou Bay has already exceeded the environmental capacity of the sea area. Under this situation, the outlet position of wastewater is suggested being removed from Moshui River to Haipo River. The preventive treatments for pollution in Jiaozhou Bay are introduced.
