The preparation of a sort of slow release medicament supported by mesoporous materials is reported in this paper, in which we also analysis the drug inclusion and delivery mechanism in the mesoporous materials channels. The order channels, adjustable pore sizes, tight pore size distributions, comparatively high hydrothermal stability and physiological acceptability of these mesoporous materials enable them to be used as the support in the slow release or controlled release medicament. The drug of penicillin is loaded in the MCM-41 channels through the media of ethanol in order to protect the drug and simplify the analysis of the sorption modes. We find that the pore size, crystallization and channel characters of MCM-41 will affect the sorption and release behavior of such medicament directly, and point out that the electrostatic field existing in the channels will act on the arrangement of the penicillin in the MCM-41 channels. And more, we synthesis the MCM-41 with the drug of ibuprofen existing in the surfactant micelles through the- in-situ procedure for the first time that has larger pore size. The release of ibuprofen from this kind of medicament depends not only on the characters of the medicament, but also on the releasing conditions, especially on the ion strength in the releasing solution.
