Facultative bio-chemical technology with mass transfer by shock wave is a new pattern of technology especially used for low-concentration organic wastewater treatment. Nowadays it is mainly used in the civil wastewater treatment systems because of its advantages of low energy consumption and high treatment efficiency. This paper fully discusses the appropriation and efficiency of its utilization for aquatic wastewater treatment and reuse, systematically elaborates the basic principle of the new technology. Meanwhile, the paper gives out some important data used for process design and administration by means of experiments. The content of this paper includes: (1) the characteristic of aquatic wastewater and the quality of water being treated for reuse purpose; (2) principle of mass transfer by shock wave and its technical utilization; (3)the aerobic, facultative or anaerobic condition metabolism principles of microorganism in various environmental conditions such as aerobic, facultative or anaerobic condition and the dynamic principles of bio-chemical reactions and biological flocculation; (4)experiments and process designs of new technology. For the purpose of wastewater reuse, the author puts forward two kinds of lowly energy-consumed processes: short-term biological adsorption & flocculation and ecological soil filtration, according the feature of the effluent from facultative biochemical reactor. Principles of these two processes are systematically elaborated. In addition, by means of experiments, their function, working efficiency and economic features are given detailed analyze and comparison. All these offer abundant reference for process choice, design and administration. Theory research and experiment results show that the use of facultative bio-chemical technology with mass transfer by shock wave in the treatment systems of low-concentration organic wastewater can make the removing rate of various pollution come up to 64% with usual temperature.while the energy consumption of new process is only 0.067KW.h/m .The new technical process shows its advantages of high efficiency and low energy consumption.Research of this paper uses the new technical process in project of wastewater reuse the first time. It enlarges the scope of technical utilization and tries to improve it. Experiment results fully show the technical advantages of new process and offer new reproach to wastewater treatment and reuse.
