Lime/Limestone wet flue gas desulfurization(WFGD) technology with high desulfurization efficiency is being applied widely for coal-fired power plant all over the world. But the capital cost and operation cost are too expensive to be accepted by our consumer. In the thesis detailed researches on WFGD are carried out in order to decrease its capital cost and operation cost.The resistance and desulfurization efficiency were measured by changing the style, pass section, and height of the baffle in this experiment. The relation curves between the resistance and the style, the pass section, and the height of the baffle , and the relation curves between desulfurization and the style, the pass section, and the height of the baffle were summarized in this paper. The result gives the principle for the industrial application of impinge stream scrubber. The experiment result shows that we can increase the pass section of the baffle to decrease the resistance of the impinge stream scrubber, and decrease the height of the baffle to increase the desulfurization of the impinge stream scrubber.Desulfurized gypsum can be used as the substitute of plaster of Paris, because the chemical compositions of desulfurized gypsum and plaster of Paris are similar. The change of the parameters of the system of desulfurization will have effect on the quality of desulfurized gypsum when CaSO3·1/2H2O is oxidized to CaSO4·2H2O. In this paper, we change the concentration of the slurry, the time, the pH value, the temperature, the quantity of the ash, and the catalyzer, and the rate of sulphite oxidation under corresponding conditions is measured. The result gives the principle for the industrial application. There are many factors that affect the crystal shape of the gypsum, including the reaction temperature, the surfactant, the queous solution consisting of some alkali earth metal salts, the reaction time, the supersaturation of the solution, and the impurity. These factors will affect the quality of the desulfurized gypsum too.The resistance and desulfurization efficiency of turbulent contact absorber (TCA) in different conditions is measured in this paper. We put emphasis on the research of solid stuffing ball which is different from hollow stuffing ball. The relation curves between the resistance and the air speed of TCA, the resistance of TCA and the height of still stuffing, and the curve between the resistance of TCA and the spraying quantity of water, the resistance of TCA and the density of the stuffing are given. This paper also shows the relation curves between Ca/S and desulfurization efficiency, the relation curves between the spraying quantity of water and the desulfurization efficiency and the relation curves between the concentration of the slurry and the desulfurization efficiency. At the end of this paper, we get the result concluded from the experiment data. The result gives the principle for the selection of the parameter of industrial application of TCA.The model of SO2 absorption in the impinge stream scrubber is established based on unsteady state mass transfer reaction theory. The model considers both instantaneous equilibrium reactions and reactions with finite rates. The effects of the structure of the baffle on the absorption of SO2 are analyzed based on the model. The results agree well with the experimental results. The model is useful to application of impinge stream scrubber in industry.
