| In this thesis, the technics of microcapsule production by interfacial polymerization with rosin as the row material was studied. The craft route and process were formulated. The best condition of rosin modification, the best condition of emulsification, microencapsulation and the best ratio of core to wall of microcapsule were established.First, the Diels-Alder reaction of rosin with fumaric acid yields fumaric rosin, from which fumaropimaric acid with three hydroxyls can be refined. Fumaropimaric acid is chloridated to fumaropimaric acid chloride by SOCl2. Then, fumaropimaric acid chloride dissolved in dibutyl(o-)phthalate, the oil solution dispersed in aquatic solution of NaHCO3 and formed a steady emulsion. When diethylen etriamine is added in the emulsion, interfacial polymerization takes place at the interface of two phases, then tridimensional and reticulate polymer wall is produced, and the oil is enveloped in microcapsule. The experiments indicate that microcapsule production by interfacial polymerization with rosin as the row material is feasible. In addition, this microencapsulation technics is convenient and simple without costly and complicated apparatus and the reaction takes place under normal temperature, which avoids the trouble of rigorous controll on temperature. |
