Following by the quick technology development, new machine fabricate system is becoming automatic, integrated and flexible. In order to ensure the safety of equipment and workpiece, avoid some accident, increase productivity and machine's utilization, monitoring and fault diagnosis are needed.Aim at the fact machining circs, such as FANUC0 NC system, off-line monitoring is used during machining process, pick-up information of machining stateand imitate the information to monitor machining process. Real time imitate is an effective and economic way to ensure NC machining legitimated. The main research work in this paper includes as follows:1.Connect the RS232C of FANUC0's NC system and computer's interface, realize the communication among machine tool and computer. Pick up the information of parameter in the system and alarm information.2.Machining process state motoring is realized by imitate NC program. A software is designed by Visual C++6.0 and MFC based on Windows98 platform, it is used to test NC machining process, so we can reduce the inconvenience and the waste of materials during test-cut. 3. During monitoring, NC program is mostly imitated to verify the correct figure, display principal axis speed, tool's feed speed and it's place in coordinate. Classify NC system's parameter and alarm we can search for the information quickly and use it easily when the machine need amending or program need perfection. User can identify relate state of machining to obtain fault diagnosis purpose.
