When a man is under the thermal comfort condition, his physiological and psychological sensations are easier to be adjusted to the best states. This has a favorable impact on working result and the improvement of producing efficiency. The development of thermal comfort technology is the indication of the progresses of social productive forces and scientific technology level. Based on the heat and moisture transfer mechanism, by the way of analysis of the dynamic procedure of heat and moisture transfer within fabric of different sorts and different weaving textures, the main object of the present work is to study in detail the physical phenomena of energy exchange between human body and ambient in order to master critical factors of human comfort related to thermodynamic properties of clothing and to have a better understanding of distribution and variation of temperature fields within fabric. The research results will help comfortable air-conditioning system design, optimization of indoor air parameters, development of special clothing for abnormal environment (astronaut garment, etc.), as well as further investigation of the impact of clothing upon human thermal comfort.During the process of heat and moisture transfer from manikin to ambient trough clothing, dry heat transfer resistance and latent heat transfer resistance of the textile affected each other. On the one hand, variation of vapor content caused by moisture transfer leads to the change of physical properties of fabric and affects therefore, heat and mass transfer performance of the textile. On the other hand, vapor condensation (or evaporation) gives out (or absorbs) the heat which changes temperature distribution and affects dry heat transfer. The radiation heat transfer within fibers having been considered, the temperature gradient and the above coupled heat and moisture transfer and has been mathematically studied in the present paper. The co-influence of heat and moisture transfer resistance and the effect of some factors have been discussed. Some viewpoints about the development and consummation of the paper and the trend of the development of fabric-technology are presented. This work is valuable effort for theoretical study of the physical phenomena describing heat and moisture transfer between human body and ambient through clothing. Basic means in thermal physics and thermal engineering fields and numerical method have been successfully applied to thermal comfort investigation of fabric and clothing. It makes up the lack of the knowledge of heat and mass transfer theory for the researchers in fashion and textile material engineering. It is an important first step work for more complex and overall model of heat and moisture transfer related to thermal comfort. This thesis and our further work will open a new period of over fields scientific research in not only fashion and textile engineering, but also in building environment engineering. The first part of this paper present the drying properties of fabric in finite space , and it's the resume of the thesis of the bachelor degree by the author .The properties of fabric drying has been mathematically studied ,and the results such as the temperature of fabric are drawn. Theco-influence of the drying have been discussed. Some theoretical bases have been set to promote the technics of textile mill. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | thermal comfort, thermal and humidity resistance of clothing, coupled heat and moisture transfer, wicking, radiation, Drying | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
