The supramolecular chemistry is one of the most active research fields in modern science. It plaies an important role to study on supramolecular assemblies organized by coordinate-covalent bonding, n-n stacking, charger-transfer, van der Walls force or other intermolecular interactions for advanced functional materials with unusual optical, electric, and magnetic properties.Strong two-photon absorption (TPA) materials have been received great attentions because of their increasing application foreground in three-dimension data storage, microstructure fabrication, photodynamic therapy and up-converted materials. Design and synthesis of materials with large TPA cross-section have become main target in TPA material study.Based on the investigation of the latest research work, novel structural supramolecule, coordination polymer, organometal compounds with optical function have been synthesized via molecular design, self-assembly and their composition--structure-property relationships have been investigated in detail. The thesis includes three chapters:In the first chapter, based on the general investigation of literatures the recent progress in the fields of design, synthesis and property of complexs have been viewed extensively, the characteristics of strong TPA materials have been descripted, which provide essential and basic help.In the second chapter, we obtained 28 new compounds in all, which have been charactered with IR, EMS, Elemental Analysis, NMR, Electronic Absorption Spectra and X-ray diffraction. In the third chapter, the linear and nonlinear optical properties of all the compounds above have been studied. In conclusion, this work may provide some important information on molecule design of new TPA materials.
