The kinetics of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of n-butyl methacrylate (n-BMA) at different temperatures is studied in this paper. Polymerizations of n-BMA have been carried out under homogeneous conditions using Cu(I)Br/2,2'-bipyridine(bpy) catalyst with ethyl-2-bromoisobutyrate used as the initiator and PA/H2O used as solvent. At low temperature(below 85 C), Living radical polymerizations of n-BMA have been achieved. The GPC results show that the molecular weights of the polymers are closed to the designed values and the molecular weight distribution (MWD) was narrow throughout the polymerization(1.1
