The rotary flying shears is important device that is widely used in the rolling steel industry. It's structure is very simple; and it is easy and reliable to use. In generally, the device is equipped in the continuous strip mill or the crosscut strip mill. It is mainly used to cut the steel head, cut the steel tail and cut in the setted size.This article mainly study the rotary flying shears that is used in the cold strip and hot strip mill. In the course, many modern algorithm is made use of to obtain the calculation-optimized theory and method on the mechanics parameters of the rotary flying shears , establish the cut mechanics model of the rotary flying shears and achieve the device criterion on the rotary flying shears. On the basis of mechanics, a soft system is developed. It's function is to materialize and modularize the calculation-optimized theory and method and to set up a platform that is convenient to to calculate and check and devise the flying shears for the common deviser. This not only present the mechanics parameters and the size of framework of the flying shears equipment but also provide the control model and control parameters for the control system on the flying shears . Furthermore, it can make optimum the device on the capacity of electric motor and the size of the flying shears framework, and so on. This must have shortened the development period of flying shears and economized the cost.
