The significant progress in the research of wavelet and fractal compression in recent years are summarized. On the base of reading large information and sum-up others programs, I get the program of wavelet and fractal. Through choosing different images and comparing the compression result, I get the difference in the time and storage space and the eyes can watch. Then I sum-up the advantage and disadvantage on the wavelet and fractal. At the end, on the base of summary, it brings forward the new blending wavelet and fractal method in the domestic and overseas.
