The injection molding process for metal or ceram powder is a new style manufacture technology which combines plastic molding process with powder metallurgy process and powder pottery molding. It fits for ' manufacturing metal or ceramic parts of large batch, small, precise and those which usually has special require for their performance.This paper introduced the injection molding process .The control equation, constitutive equation and related rheologic theories of continuous medium model and granule model was expounded deeply. There is a introduction of fluidic module of the finite element (FEM)software ANSYS which is used in this paper, and some discussion was made about the step and process in the analysis of the metal-powder injection molding which use the finite element software ANSYS.The calculation model about the runner system of the downsprue of metal-powder injection molding( MIM ) and the finite element analysis of injection parts molding have been established. The analogue analysis of the molding process of metal-powder injection molding has been made and draw some correlative conclusion. Though the analysis of the laws of feeding material flowing in the runner of different diameter and length, find the velocity field, pressure field, temperature field of the feeding material in the runner system. Find a rational span of the length/diameter of runner from 2 to 9, and draw a conclusion that we can make a full use of existing equipment resource by modify the design of runner system. These paper provide the curve of cavity pressure/filling time and the curve of average filling velocity of feeding fussed mass/filling time in the different injection pressure. Find the law of the influence from the injection pressure to the filling time and the cavity pressure and make certain of the best filling time, injection time and injection pressure. Though the analysis of the flowing velocity andpressure spread of the key position element in the injection parts in different gate position, we forecast the injection parts quality and the possibility injection flaw and its position, optimize the gate position.In this paper,though the research of analogue of the runner system of metal-powder injection molding and the process of injection molding, we get the law of how the injection parameter influence the injection process. These research results provide a theoretical base of the optimize of injection process parameter and the mold design, and the significance of this research is the forecast of the quality and performance of injection parts, and the instruction of the manufacture of metal-powder injection molding.This will definitely be beneficial to enriching of MIM theory and provide the theory guidance for the design of cavity die and runner system.
