1. a novel compound was synthesized by 2,6-dimethylphenol and 4,4 -dichlorodiphenylsulfone. The chemical structure was confirmed by FT-IR, MS, 1H-NMR and DSC, etc. And the structure of the compound is in accordance with our design. The compound has high melting temperature (202.5℃). As a monomer, it can synthesis poly(aryl ether sulfone ether ketone ketone)containing bis(o-methyl) moiety.2.Two novel poly(aryl ether sulfone ether ketone ketone)containing bis(o-methyl) moiety (DM-PESEKK-I and DM-PESEKK-II) were prepared by electrophilic polycondensation of 2,2 ,6,6 -tetramethyl-4,4 -diphenoxydiphenylsulfone (o-M2DPODPS) and terephthaloyl chloride(TPC) or isophthaloyl chloride(IPC) in 1,2-dichloroethane and in the presence of AlC3 and DMF. The polymers were characterized by IR,WAXD,DSC,1H-NMR/TGA and were tested on the solubility. The results show that the polymers are non-crystalline. They have high glass transition temperature, good thermostabilities and excellent solubilities.3. A series of random copolymers were prepared by low temperature solution polycondensation of 2,2 ',6,6 '-tetramethyl-diphenoxydipheny lsulfone(o-M2DPO-DPS), isophthaloyl chloride(IPC) and terephthaloyl chloride(TPC) in 1,2-dicholroethane and in the presence of AlCl3 and NMP. The inh of the copolymers were determined and the copolymers were characterized by solubility test, IR, WAXD, TG, 1H-NMR, etc. The results shows that the copolymers have high Tg because of the existing of bis(o-methyl) moiety, and the Tg of the copolymers increase with increase of the ratio of TPC/IPC. The copolymers are non-crystalline, and have excellent solubilities.4 .A novel series of random copolymers composed of polyetherketoneketone(PEKK) were prepared by low temperature solution polycondensation of 2,2 ' ,6,6 ' -tetramethyl-4,4 ' diphenoxydiphenylsulfone , diphenether(DPE) and isophthaloyl chloride(IPC) in 1,2-dichIoroethane and in the presence of AlCl3 and DMF. The copolymers are characterized by IR, DSC, WAXD, etc. The results show that glass transition temperature increase with the increasing of the ratio of o-MiDPODPS/DPE, and melting temperature and crystallinity of copolymers decrease with the increase in o-M2DPODPS content. But their heat-resistance properties and solubility are excellent.5. The copolymers were characterized by 1H-NMI, FT-IR, DSC, WAXD, TGA, etc. The results show that glass transition temperature increases with the increasing of the ratio of o-M2DPODPS/DPE, the inherent viscocity, melting temperature and crystallinity of copolymers decrease with the increasing of the ratio of 0-M2DPODPS/DPE. The solubility of the copolymers is proved greatly, while the copolymers still exhibit excellent thermostabilities and solvent resistance. As a latent functional group, the bis(o-methyl) pendant can be converted to bromomethyl ,aldehyde or carboxylic acid proup. The high-performance polymers with functional groups on the polymer main chain for specialty applications such as membrane materials can be preparing by functionalization reactions.6. A novel series of random copolymers composed of poly(aryl ether sulfone ether ketone ketone) were prepared by Friedel-Crafts acylation polyconden-sation of 2,2 ' ,6,6 ' -tetramethyl-4,4 ' diphenoxydiphenylsulfone, 4,4 diphenoxydiphenylsulfone(DPODPS) and terephthaloyl chloride(TPC) in 1,2-dichIoroethane with the presence of AlCl3 and DMF. The copolymers were characterized by 1H-NMR, IR, DSC, TGA, WAXD, and the n inh of the copolymers were tested.
